Stephen Austin (Jonah2, Jonah1) was born 30 Jun 1755 in Dighton, Bristol, Massachusetts. He was the son of Jonah Austin and Hannah Wallis. Stephen died 14 Oct 1837 in Auburn,Androscoggin, Maine, at the age of 82, and was buried in Danville, Androscoggin, Maine. He married Laurana (or Lorana or Lorany) White 14 Aug 1777 in Cumberland, ME. She was born about 1758. Laurana was the daughter of
Thomas White and Eleanor Brown. She died 9 Jun 1845, and was buried in Danville, Androscoggin, Maine.
They had 7 children:
i. Hannah Austin, born in 1779, died 31 Mar 1846.
ii. Eleanor Austin, born 26 Nov 1780, died 1 Oct 1857.
iii. (dau) Austin was born say 1783.
iv. (dau) Austin was born say 1786.
v. (son) Austin was born say 1788.
vi. George Austin was born about 1791 in Danville, Androscoggin, Maine. He died bet 1850 and 1860.
